Hi,
I am taking care of HR & Admin in a stock broking company , last year we gave diwali gifts and cards to clients , but due to the market situations this time it wont be feasible for us to do such expenses.
So if anyone could suggest something that is resonable and will have impact.

Dear,
U will agree 'the Customers(clients) are the King '!
I suggest you the following :-
a) Send Dipavali Greetings to all.
b)Only selected clients(who participated in Ur business growth) will be getting Diwali Gifts(e.g crackers) this year.
This will take care of a win-win situation.
Regards!

Hi Neha,
You can also give wall Painting( Thailand made) to your Esteem clients only as a Diwali Gift. Cost is also not high and it looks excellent.

Hi Neha,
Consider the following things when you are buying gifts:
1) Profile of the recipient- client, staff etc
2)Total budget
3) type of industry

Hi Neha,
Try greeting card made of recycled paper and also check the ones from CRY foundation and other children/rural organizations. They are inexpensive and serve a cause.
You can try this also: ask your employees' kids to prepare greeting cards to send out to clients this year. You can choose the best one from the pool (if you have too many) or use all of them (if there are less). This not only saves cost but also will be a good employee engagement initiative to boost employee morale.
all the best...

i think u serve sweet packet of 250 g for every employee & it is applicable for all employee whatever his designation it is not matter. if u do this then two type of thinking develop among the employee 1. they think that mgt. think all employee are equal
2. it is also reasonable for u

Hmm....
I think a bit differently in this case. Since you have asked what you can give to your clients only my suggestion would be limited to them only. (Employees I hope you give as per Company/Organisational policies)
Now talking of the clients and considering the financial aspect of your firm with the present volatile conditions in Share Market I think you can give dicounts(for share's to your clients) or you can also suggest your management to shell out discounts to the sales in this month in al the trading that you do for your clients.
It will I think serve two purposes:
1. there is a distict posibility of sales going up after the discounted rates.
2. your regular costomers will be more then happy to trade from your firm and will stay with your firm.
3. your management will also aprove with it and be happy with you.
Also, you can gift them sweets and all which is customery. Hope this and above all suggestions help you in some or the other way.

Now a days it is a trend to spread gifts to the clients. Somehow you have to manage for good future relation and consider this as business promotion in your account books otherwise may be they will divert with some other option other then you..

Hi all,
Went through the case and sugesstions........basically the best gift client could get is the quality in service......so im a firm believer to let the work speak........correct me if i am wrong......
but in this case as the company is used to present gifts....i would say it has already set standards and client expecatations........ i wd still sugest to not to gift anything less than what you have been gifting......
i know its not feasable.....because clients r important there shd be cost cutting measures within the company to compensate the feasibility.......if the time is less i would suggest to wish them through greetings and present a complimentary gift later......
im very much intrested to know what others has to say......
