Seeking Advice on Life Coaching: Is It Worth the Investment for Personal Growth?

janet120120
Hello to all,

I am interested in understanding my life's purpose and values so that I can base my life on these facets. Moreover, I wanted to install the empowering core beliefs and also delete the self-limiting beliefs.

When I look into the internet, I find that there are a lot of life coaches who give advice on these topics. They not only help me discover my life purpose and values but also assist me in solving the problems I am facing in the office, home, and social circles. They help me take action and hold me accountable for results.

I wanted to know your opinion about this matter because it seems to me that you are an experienced person who knows better than me about the internet community. The charges are very high, approximately US$100.00 for a 45-60 minute session, and there are four sessions in a month, so I think I have to pay approximately US$200.00 a month.

So please give me your best advice, and if anybody has gone through life coaching and knows any life coach whom he thinks is good, then please let me know.

Thanks,

Janet Smith

Dear Janet,

If I've understood your query, you want to know and take proper guidance on life values. Here are a few hands-on tips:
1) Help others, respect them.
2) Trust in people and God.
3) Encourage achievement and celebrate success.
4) Have courage and think creatively.
5) Walk your talk.

I also suggest you go for a motivational course on life under a trusted guruji (perhaps Sri Sukbudhananda of India). This will not cost you much (CDs or a website will guide you).

May God help you find the path and give you the courage to execute the same.

Regards,
Lahiri

Dear Fredrikhof,

Thank you for your reply. I know why I am doing what I am doing, but the question is, can I really know? I want to know my true self, and this is possible when there is someone with experience who can guide you. We are living a life on automation, but our subconscious beliefs and true desires are a mystery to me. That is why I am looking for a life coach. Knowing my true life purpose and pursuing it would bring joy to my everyday life because I would be engaged in something I truly desire.

I have read many articles and purchased programs that have given me knowledge, but when it comes to implementation, I find that I am unable to achieve the success I desire. I understand the importance of focusing on what I want; if I do this, it will undoubtedly change my life. However, the challenge lies in practical implementation. I am fairly good at implementing tasks, but I am unsure why I sabotage my efforts when I am close to success. After reading numerous articles, I have realized that there are limiting beliefs in my subconscious mind that prevent me from achieving my life goals. This realization is why I seek a life coach.

Thank you, S. Lahiri, for your response. You have provided me with valuable insights that I need to incorporate. However, I am keen to discover my true values in life. I make decisions based on values that are significant to me; some prioritize power, others sensitivity, and some focus on being helpful in social settings. I aim to identify my core values with the help of a coach so that I can make daily decisions aligned with these values.

Thank you, Mark Jones, for your reply, but I am unsure of your message's meaning. Could you please clarify when you have some time?

I would like to request again for anyone or their friends with experience in coaching to come forward. The costs involved are significant, which is why I seek sound advice.

Thank you, Sounder, Biresh, and Rita Lopez, for your offering.

I am writing this in June 2008, and I have already completed the 3 months of coaching with a life coach in Canada. At the present moment, I do not think I need it. However, I will keep in touch with you when I require your help in the future.

Could you please provide me with your website address so that I can share it with my friends if they are interested? Email addresses and mobile numbers do not serve the purpose of life coaching, which is why I am insistent on having a website.

Goodbye,
Janet Smith

Hi Vijay Vartak,

It is nice to meet you, but I do not think I need any information now. What I need is action. I am implementing the habit of focusing on what I want and also witnessing myself. If I require your help, then I will definitely contact you.
