Confused About Where to Apply for a Contract Labour License: Delhi or Haryana? Need Help!

Hi, my name is Dash, and I am heading a Manpower Consulting Firm in Delhi. Recently, we have secured a contract from an MNC in Gurgaon, Haryana, and they are now requesting us to apply for a license. They are in the process of issuing us Form V.

After I receive Form V from the principal Employer, I am unsure where I need to apply for the license - in Delhi or Haryana. This uncertainty arises as all our PF, ESI, and Service Tax numbers are registered in Delhi.

Please assist me with this query.

Dear Registration under the Contract Labour Regulations & Abolition Act is different from ESI/PF/Service Tax. You have to get yourself registered with the local Labour Office of the Area where the Organisation is situated. For example, if it is in Haryana (Faridabad), you will have to get yourself registered with the Labour Office in Fbd. It is always better to have a sub-code of the same area from ESI & PF authorities. Thank you. - Ak Malhotra
