Hope your requirement is not academic. Almost all labor legislations are meant to bring about labor welfare. As such, any measure taken by an employer for the betterment and for the benefit of employees shall be considered a labor welfare measure. Some are mandatory measures available in the Factories Act and Shops and Establishments Act. For more understanding, please go through various provisions in the Factories Act/Shops and Establishments Act.
Similarly, matters specified in the Employees State Insurance Act, Employees Provident Fund, and Misc. Provisions Act are also welfare measures in favor of employees. The benefits available to women workers under the Maternity Benefits Act call for specific measures for women employed. Therefore, any labor enactment enforced shall be in favor of workers only. Please go through it.
