How Can I Withdraw My PF from a Private Trust Without My Old Employer's Consent?

disneyjessie
Dear Friends,

I have a query about my PF withdrawal. I worked for 3 years for an organization that has its own private PF trust. Recently, I changed my company without following the proper relieving procedure, and therefore, I was not given the relieving letter. My new employer has opened a new PF account for me.

Now, how do I withdraw or transfer the PF amount without my previous employer's consent?

Regards,
Jessie

Dear,

It is important to note that you can transfer that amount as well as withdraw it. However, you will need to communicate with your previous employer for the withdrawal process. To initiate a withdrawal, you need to submit a request, and for a transfer, your current employer will send Form 13 for the transfer to take place.

Thank you.

Since you have not been properly relieved from your duties, I doubt whether your previous employer would be supportive in withdrawing the PF amount. So, I suggest you opt for transferring the funds. In case your previous employer does not raise any issues regarding your relieving, then you can go ahead with the withdrawal.

Hi,

Your contribution in the Provident Fund (PF) is your hard-earned money that you saved. No one can stop you from getting your contribution back. If the company is managing the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner (RPFC), then you are required to fill out Form 10C and Form 19 for withdrawal, and for transfer, Form 13.

I left my job in 2011 and have my PF number with me. Currently, the government portal is not showing any information, so I believe the company (Nokia India Pvt Ltd) was maintaining a Private PF Trust. Now, I don't have any information about the company's office address as Nokia India Pvt is closed in India now.

How to Withdraw PF Amount from a Closed Company

How can I proceed to withdraw my PF amount? Form 19 includes a UAN column; however, I don't have a UAN as the UAN concept was not in place in 2011. Please suggest a workaround for a 6-year-old PF Trust account when the company is untraceable. I am currently not employed, so I need to withdraw the funds.

Thank you.
