Does My Experience Count

Hello,
Caution: You may not be able to use your own (your sisters) consultancy's services if you decide to go for a recruiter profile in most of the organizations as it may be considered unethical / conflict of interest.
For the question you had asked: Yes, you should mention about the work you have done. No matter if it is for your own consultancy. If you have done it you deserve to mention it in your profile.

Think positively. You had proved your leadership of building a team and leading the same.
Running a consulting business how small it is a Task which you have accomplished.
Please do mention. I was never a HR person, but today I own a company called www.swasthiksahits.com

Hi,

I am a new member to citehr. Already I feel I have learnt a lot just in a day. Looking at the postings here, I would like to enquire and get feedback from you on the following.

I am a Malaysian citizen, educated in India (school and university) and have been working in Malaysia since my graduation. I have a total of 18 years of working experience (about 5 in HR areas) and around 12+ years of IT (projects and project management). I would like to relocate to India as

a) the opportunities are aplenty

b) looking for an exposure in a different working environment and culture

c) looking at a future regional role (hope it works)

d) I can engage in my other passion (carnatic music) besides my professional career.

The thing that I would like to know is

a) how to go about targetting and landing the right jobs in India

b) What would be the expected salary and benefits that I can reasonably expect

c) What do I need to prepare in terms of work areas, exposure

d) Is it possible to get a work permit/employment pass for myself and my family members to live and work in India?

I may not have a Master's degree, but I have a fair bit of working experience in the fields mentioned above (IT and HR). Pls advise. Looking for some good feedback.

Thanks and best rgds

Hi Dear,
Don't give up what you planned and started, you can improve in getting more contacts for your business, only thing is have trust. Still if you are thinking to do job, then appoint a suitable person and search for jobs. All work related will give you experience.

Dear Vinod,It would be better if you could continue to work in the consultancy and improve it , than to look for a job.Or else you can as a recuritment specialist , Hiring Specialist, HR Cordinator, etc M.Felix.C
