Is It Fair That Only Employee PF Contributions Are Tax-Exempt While Employers' Aren't?

ukchy@rediffmail.com
These days, companies are making their PF a part of the Annual CTC. When the tax is calculated, under deductions, only the employee's contribution is considered exempt, not the employer's contribution, even though it is a part of the CTC. This means we are paying it from our salary. Please advise if both contributions should be exempt from taxation or just the employee's contribution.

Dear,

Only employee contribution is exempted. However, employer contribution is also exempted from tax, but the employer takes benefit of it.

Thanks,
