Need to have details on Part-Time Employment Law in India and rules under Shops and Establishments Act. Can anyone help me?

I am also interested to know how organized companies manage Part-Time employment in India. In Europe, it is common. They are treated in all ways like regular employees with all benefits but lower salary for the lower hours of work. In India, you need to take contract labour, and the contractor as well as the contracting company need to be registered, and a lot of details are to be provided. If someone has experience in handling part-time employment in a regular company, please share.

Part-time employment is just like employing casuals. You need to provide them with ESI and Minimum Wages.

What about if it is a notice period, do they need to give one month's notice or something else?
