Salary Trends In 2008- 2009 In Retail Sector

Hi,
We are in process of making HR budget for next year. One part is making provisions for salary hikes. Need following information:

1. India's GDP in 2008 and projections for 2009
2. India's Inflation rate in 2008 and 2009 projections
3. Salary hike in 2008 and 2009 projections.

I have done the google serach, but would like to have more authentic source.

Article came in Economics Times of 13th Sep'08 on same stating expectation of salary increase in 2009 is around 16%.
