Need Help Designing Company Penal Codes: Any Templates or Examples to Share?

Dear All,

Please help me out in designing the Company's Penal Codes; if any of you have these penal codes for the company, please post them here for my and others' reference. My boss has assigned me to design a penal code for the company, and I have never had experience in designing them. A template with all the necessary functions would be helpful.

I presume you mean Standing Orders of the company framed and certified following the Industrial Employment Standing Orders Act. There is a draft of standing orders given in the Act itself; you can take it as it is or make modifications and get it certified by an Officer not below the rank of Asst. Labour Commissioner of your area.

Standing Orders list what the employees are expected to do for the company and what they are not expected to do. It sets out in detail the procedure of dealing with various disciplinary actions, handling of grievances, etc., and as such, it is the code of conduct of the company.

Hi,

As you are working in Saudi Arabia, the laws may be different from Indian laws to certain levels. Please refer to some of the consultants at your location who may be of better help as I do not have any references.

Thank you for the responses, Mr. Sravan and Mr. Madhu. These are generally accepted principles for HR and Administration and have nothing to do with labor law. Even though I have information for the Indian context, I will adjust it to comply with the Saudi Arabian Labor and Workmen Law. Please assist me.
