Diwali Gift Dilemma: Fresh Ideas for Employee Gifts Within a Rs. 300-400 Budget?

ritu_hr04
Hi All,

Diwali is coming... We are planning for Diwali gifts for our employees. The budget is around Rs. 300-400.

We have already given wall clocks, crockery, water jugs, and sweet boxes (every year) to our employees. Please suggest some new gift items.

Thanks,
Ritu K

Hi Ritu,

You can offer a set of bags - from office bags to travel bags; there can even be multiple options in this budget range. It also depends on the quantity required. For example, you can provide a combo of a tiffin bag cum duffel bag/overnighter cum office bag for Rs. 400 per set!

If you need more options, please let me know. If you're located in Mumbai, I might even be able to assist you with some suppliers' contact details. I met a few of them at the recent Gifts fair held at Nehru - Worli. Their requirement is that orders be placed by the latest on 15th September for them to deliver during Diwali.

Regards.

Hi Dipali,

Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately, I am not stationed in Mumbai but in Ahmedabad.

I was also considering bags; other items I have listed are:
- Table Stand
- Chairs
- Cooker
- Casserole
- Container Set

Please list more items if you have any.

Thanks,
Ritu

Hi Ritu, how many people are you looking at gifting?

If you're looking at household items, then there would be plenty of options like nonstick cookware, air/water-tight boxes, and a hand blender that is also possible within this budget. The reason I suggested bags is that they have universal appeal, so one never goes wrong with that selection.

What kind of firm are you at? In which business is your firm engaged?

Hi Dipali,

We are in the Software and Automation business. We will be gifting around 150 employees. Hand blenders and cookware have already been given as marriage gifts to many.

Hi,

You can also give gift vouchers, where the employees can go and purchase on their own. A small silver coin, which is supposed to bring money into the family, in this special occasion.

Thanks

Hi Ritu,

Sneha here from Ahmedabad. Last year, we gifted a Key Chain + Mobile Stand Combo with our company logo. You can also look for a wooden Mobile stand + Key Chain + Pen with each employee's name on it and also your company's name. They can use it either at home or at the office.

Alternatively, the best choice is to go for personalized diaries with a pen and calculators. The best gift seems to be bags, as suggested by Dipali.

Hey, organic healthcare and skincare is a great idea. I believe there are these ayurvedic neem sets available - soap, shampoo, powder for facials, creams & lotions, even neem honey!! You can also look at BP & Diabetes indicators; it would be most appreciated too. I am not sure about the available price ranges though. What I saw at the Gifts' exhibition was all around 700.

Hi,

As per my suggestion, you can also provide hot carriages for your employees to pick up their lunch. It is also a benefit for those who bring lunch from their homes.
