Labour Licence For A Sub-contractor - Clarification

Subramanianj
Dear Seniors,

A company engages a contractor. The contractor is given Form V by the company. If the work is sub-contracted by the contractor, what will be the procedure for the sub-contractor to get a labour licence if more than 20 workers are engaged by the sub-contractor.

In my understanding the company can give Form V only to the contractors as they would have registered with the concerned labour officer with Form II, mentioning the contractors name.

Learned forum members, kindly clarify on this issue.

Mr. Malik,
My doubt is how will the sub-contractor be able to register, if the Form II submitted by the principal employer, has the name of the contractor alone.
Kindly clarify on this aspect.

dear
contractor will submit licene form to the labour authorities with requsite fee and security deposit along with registration certificate issued to employer.
your registration should have name of the firm of that contractor .than he will get licence.
