Understanding the 12% EPF Breakdown and Employee Motivation Trends Amid Layoffs

I want to know the breakdown of the 12% EPF. I also want to understand the recent employee motivation trends, especially during times when most employers are letting employees go.

Thank you, Deepthi and Bhardwaj. However, I still have one unanswered question, i.e., the recent trends to improve employee motivation. Most companies have team outings and on-site opportunities, etc. I was asked about this in one of my interviews, and the interviewer was not very convinced with the answers I had given. Kindly help.

PF Deductions Breakdown

PF 12% will be deducted from the basic salary, and the remaining administrative charges for PF, which are 1.61%, will also be deducted. The deduction for PF 1.61% will be from the same source as the PF 12%.

1.61% will be deducted from the employer's side for the following charges:
- PF admin charge A/C: 2 = 1.1%
- EDLI admin charge A/C: 21 = 0.5%
- EDLI charge A/C: 22 = 0.01%
