Kindly help me to get more information related to the various aspects of campus hiring the ultimate purpose is to bring down the cost and howto make the whole campus activity more cost effective, we are a telecom software dev company we do local as well outstation campus hiring.
Q1 Please suggest some measure to bring down the total cost of campus hiring.
Q2 Also, how can we create positive influence for allocation of best possible campus dates.

Answers to your questions:

A1. If you analyze the total cost that a company spend on campus recruitment it amounts to approximately Rs. 2500 per candidate hired. Consider the cost of the HR Exec hired, travelling, accomodation, infrastrastructure, etc. Therefore, what I have found as a solution to a company recruiting in bulk is OUTSOURCE. These companies charge you either on the basis of per candidate hired or per campus visited or per campuse(s) visited. Normally its per campus / campuse(s) visited. These companies not only recruit at a lower cost but also brand you company for future recruitments.

A2. Always remeber that campuse(s) are in need of your visits as well. Create a database region wise, arrange for a common venue and in turn inform all the campuses in that location about your hiring schedule. Ofcourse this needs to be done not during exam time or event times.

Kindly also let me know how can we get first campus visit dates in reputed colleges as it would not be very cost effective for my company to to conduct two three campuses in one go at one place.

Yo can even go for a online system. This will help you save a lot of cost as all the testing and sorting can be done online. There can be a standard application form that will help you track the details of all candidates in a statndardised format. This will serve you as a database which you can also you for furture references......
