Strategic is the highest level of management and essentially deals with planning and decision-making. Planning is for innovation and betterment, whereas decision-making is for the middle and lower management.
A few of the most important parts contributing to strategic HRM are job designing, competency mapping, employee engagement, evolution of leadership skills in the organization, and many more. If you are working on a project on SHRM, then I think you are asked to concentrate more on the overview of the 2 basic parts of SHRM as I mentioned earlier. If that is not the case, try to narrow down the topic and conduct more research on a part of SHRM.
