Hi all, I have also cleared the written exam of SBI associates. I also gave an interview for Allahabad Bank PO but could not get selected. I can share my experience in the interview with you.
My interview was on 16th June. First of all, they asked about myself and my family. As I have been preparing for bank PO for the last 7 months, they asked about a banking term. Then they asked me why I was not preparing for civil services despite having very good academics. I believe I could not convince them with my answer on this question.
Banks do not want to hire individuals who are extremely exceptional or poor. They prefer candidates who are average and likely to stay with the organization.
Since I come from a technical background, they also asked me some technical questions. I would suggest preparing answers that can convince them of your commitment to staying with the bank if offered a better opportunity. Additionally, pay more attention to subjects and basic banking terms like repo, reverse repo, SLR, base rate, etc.
All the best for your interview.
