I believe the answers to these questions may vary from person to person, so everyone should post their answers (whatever they know) along with comments. This way, we can analyze and determine the best answer.

That's true, but I feel instead, you mail the answer or post it. We, all HR professionals, should find it out. I guess we all can do that, and most of us must be aware of some answers. So, I hope now we should come up with answers, not the request to send the ready-made answers. Don't do spoon-feeding. :)

How are you? I am going to join Genpact in an accounts process. I have cleared the Odinate round as well as the online account Test round. I got 82% marks in the online test round. Hi Abhi,

No offense, but the questions above are more of an academic nature than for an interview. Nowadays, the concept of competence-based interviewing is in vogue, and gone are the days when we had a stereotypical type of interviewing. I would suggest you frame more of introductory and competence-based questions using the 'STAR' technique, which is used by most companies all over the world.

I feel that today's need is for HR professionals to be well-versed and well-equipped when recruiting Sales and Marketing personnel because these individuals greatly contribute to the company's earnings, and they often believe that HR doesn't understand them.

Hi Gaurav,

It's good that you have prepared a set of questions, but I feel that most of these are related to compensation. It would be beneficial to provide the interviewee with a case scenario and inquire about their views on it. Additionally, I believe these questions are more suitable for individuals who have completed their MBAs, and it may not be feasible for graduates coming from an MSW background. Since HR primarily involves people management, the focus should be on the candidate's communication and interpersonal skills. I doubt that many candidates will be able to respond to queries concerning the stock market.

Thank you for providing the HR questionnaire. I suggest we put our heads together and start by solving at least two to three questions that are easy, and then we can compile them for further review in case of any doubts.
