Understanding CTC: What Should Be Included and Is There a Standard Format?

Brindha P
Hi Friends,

I am just confused about what all amounts are included in CTC. Could anybody guide me on what all amounts should be included in CTC? It would be better if it's in the right format. Is there a specific format to compute CTC?

Hi Ganesh,

I have seen your mail. It has cleared my doubt, but I have one more doubt regarding that question. Will benefits like ESI and perks not be included in CTC?

Hi all,

Can anybody tell me the difference between CTC, Gross Salary, and Net Salary (Cash In Hand)?

Thanks

Hi Nisha,

"CTC" stands for Cost to the company, and it includes all the components that a company pays to the employee (fixed + variables).

"Gross Salary" comprises the monthly Payables + Deductions (PF + LTA + Bonus + Mediclaim).

"Cash in Hand," on the other hand, can be calculated from the Gross Salary. You only need to take the monthly payables and deduct the PF amount from it once more. The resulting amount will be the Cash in Hand.

Hi,

Can we show PF company contribution on the deduction side? In the salary slip, should the earning and deduction sides match with what CTC we have offered? Kindly clarify, please.

Hello!

How basic can vary between two persons in the same grade? How could such differences be ascertained?

Hi all, Actually, how do we decide the basics? Is there any percentage process on CTC or in a company of the same grade but with different basics?
