I have received job offers from Citi Technology Services and Godrej Infotech through a consultant. Citi is offering me 5.75 lakhs per annum, and Godrej is offering 4.5 lakhs per annum. CTS is located 5 minutes from my house, and Godrej is located 1 hour from my house. The joining date for Citi is 1st September, and for Godrej, it is 15th September.
My plan is to work for Citi till 14th September. If I don't feel comfortable in Citi, I will join Godrej Infotech. However, my consultant is pressuring me to choose one of these companies quickly so that he can line up candidates for the other company and earn commissions from both.
Another issue is that my total experience is 2.8 years, but on my resume, I have stated my total experience as 3 years. I faced some difficulties during my engineering, leading to it taking 5 years to complete. Neither of the employers is aware of these details.
Are there any risks of being caught during a background check due to concealing my difficulties during engineering and the extra 4 months of work experience?
