I am looking for some information on the Shop and Establishment Act - Maharashtra Rules as I want to frame a policy for the daily wage workers in my organization, such as peons and cleaners, who are paid Rs. 2500 per month with no overtime or leave benefits. I want to understand the main components and basic salary structure for this category as per Maharashtra rules. Our firm is a distributor with a turnover of 12 crores and has been operating in India for two years. I would be highly obliged if someone could guide me on this.

You may refer to the Shop and Establishment Act book, which you can find in the market, and use the same to decide the salary.

Hi, if you want to register your firm under the Shops and Establishment Act, you may fill Form 1 and submit it to the District Assistant Labour Officer. Then, he will provide a certificate for your firm.
