Does a Lease Assignment Without Payment Need to Be Registered? Seeking Advice

I want to know whether an assignment of a lease deed requires registration when the assignment is made without consideration.

Well, I don't know about this exactly, but as per my common sense, I think the default registration charges or the amount shown in the assigned lease deed may be taken into consideration. For the exact answer, I think the Stamp Duty Act will help.
