Guide to Registering a Company for PF: Steps, Process, and Requirements

yogitta
Dear All,

Thank you very much for the prompt replies and helpful guidance.

This time I want to have some information on how to register a company for PF. We are a trading and distribution firm, one year old in India with a turnover of 12 crores and a staff of 30 employees at present. Our head office is in Mumbai, and we have branches in Delhi, Chennai, and Hyderabad.

I am new to this organization and have never enrolled a firm in PF. I only know that to register for PF, the employee strength should be at least 20.

Kindly let me know the formalities to perform, where to get the form, what other documents will be required, and whom to approach.

Please guide me from scratch as this is the first time my employer has asked me to enroll a company for PF.

Thank you all so much.

Dear Yogitta,

Please obtain the form from RPFC Mumbai and acquire the PF code from there. You are late, and they will have to charge you from the date your strength became 20.

Thanks,

Dear all,

I have a small query regarding the same. In the case of manufacturing units, PF registration is done at the time of first production or can we do it earlier during the construction phase as well? Our employee strength is around 130 people on the roll based on the Cost to Company (CTC).

Regards,

Dear Vijay,

I feel you should register now itself for the PF code, and it can continue after that as well.

Thanks,

Hi,

With regard to the registration of your firm under the PF Act, you can seek the assistance of the RPFC who would be willing to help you get your firm covered under the act.
