Quality Of Working Life

alan.bradshaw@qowl.co.uk
Hello, my name is Alan Bradshaw. I'm a director of QoWL Ltd, a University Spin Out Company based in Portsmouth, UK.

My colleagues are academic psychologists and have been researching Quality of Working Life (QoWL) for the past ten years at the University of Portsmouth. We measure QoWL in organisations using survey tools that have been fully tested and are psychometrically valid.

I would be very interested to hear from HR practitioners and researchers interested in using our survey tool, and HR consultants who would like to use it with their clients.

There is lots of background about our research, and our theory and model of quality of working life on our website if members are interested. Our research suggests very significant business benefits from improved quality of working life such as reduced absence and much higher retention.

This forum looks great, and I am looking forward to contributing fully to threads where I have some knowledge e.g. quality of working life, management of wellbeing, stress management. (Clearly, golf is not really an HR subject, but being Scottish, where golf is the national religion, should anyone need a contribution, I will be very glad to oblige!:-P)

Kind regards,
Alan Bradshaw
