Dear seniors,

I am new to recruitment, and we are conducting a campus interview on Saturday. Could you please advise on what all things need to be covered and how to proceed further?

Thank you,
Satish

Hi Satish,

It would be really helpful if you could specify what type of business your company is in and what kind of colleges you are targeting.

For me, the purpose of a campus interview is to sell your company to prospective candidates and to set expectations, so that you can select the right candidates according to your requirements.

Please prepare a presentation to be given to all the candidates, covering the mentioned points: information about your company, what candidates can expect, and the selection process you will follow.

Then, determine if the entire selection process will take place on campus. If so, please check if all the necessary arrangements are in place.

Ensure you have the right mix and number of interviewers available. When referring to interviewers, emphasize the need for technical interviewers followed by HR personnel.

Check the infrastructure and prepare contingency measures.

For example, if you have planned a computer-based test and the power goes out for some reason, you must be able to continue the process using paper-based methods.

These are my suggestions. Best of luck for your first recruitment drive, and I hope you enjoy it.
