Best Monsoon Picnic and Stay Spots in Maharashtra for a Group of 40?

devi.tulsi
It's time to celebrate the monsoon season. Can anyone suggest good picnic spots in Maharashtra itself? Please also suggest good spots for a one-night stay. I am waiting for your suggestions. Our company size is 40.

Hi,

A few places around Nashik like Junnar, Malshej, or maybe Khandala and Lonavala as well. If you intend to go towards the western coast of Maharashtra, Alibag can be one destination or maybe Murud Janjira as well.

Thank you.

Thank you, Angeldust_xtc, for your information about Mumbai. Since I am planning to visit Mumbai next month, this is more useful for me and seems like a guide. Thank you a lot.

Hi,

Manor is a beautiful place 60 kms from Mumbai on NH 8. They have a lot of economical resorts. You can also try out Daman (150 Kms) and Alibaug. I had arranged for picnics at all these places for 75 of my employees, and it went amazingly well. Personally, I would recommend Manor and Silent Hill/Pooja Farm in Manor. The place is breathtakingly beautiful and unexplored in monsoon, and both the resorts are very well-equipped. Lonavla/Khandala/Matheran, etc., are very clichéd. You can also try Bhimashankar or Harishchandragad if the women are game for a trek.

There is this place called Tungareshwar near Virar considered to be a nice spot for excursions. I'm not sure about night halts but you can check with local travel agents.
