I am conducting a survey regarding HR and Psychology to explore the extent of necessity for HR managers to be well-versed in human psychology. Additionally, I am investigating how many psychologists, HR specialists, or psychologists assisting HR managers are currently employed in HR departments.

In my opinion, understanding human psychology is just as crucial to HR as HR itself is to an organization. "In HR, we are dealing with the human mind and heart, and psychologists do the same." I would appreciate your valuable opinion as well. Let's stay in touch.

I'm doing my M.Sc. in Psychology and MBA in HR. I have a strong feeling that they are very closely related. One key area that HR managers need to focus on is Psychometric tests for selection. To retain employees and reduce conflicts, HR managers need to understand the personalities of the people rather than relying solely on their gut instinct. Understanding personality traits can lead to better problem resolution in the long run rather than just addressing issues in the present. Finally, empathy and knowing where to draw boundaries are skills that psychologists excel at. All these aspects contribute to the essential qualities of a good HR manager.

Yeah, I think it's right. Psychology is as important for HR as HR itself is for an organization. 🙂
