How to Get Duplicate PF Cheques When Your Bank Account is Inactive? Need Guidance!

anilsrikanth
Hello Seniors,

A few months back, I closed my PF account, and the Bangalore PF office sent me a cheque for the amount accumulated in my account. However, the bank account number I provided at the time of closing my PF account is now inactive. Therefore, I am unable to encash those cheques. I would like to know the procedure for obtaining duplicate cheques with a different account number. Additionally, the cheques issued to me are dated 31st March 2008, so they are already more than 3 months old, and I believe they may have become invalid. Kindly provide guidance on how to proceed.

Thank you in advance.

You have to write back to the concerned PF commissioner stating that you have closed the bank account, and new checks may kindly be issued. Also, don't forget to mention the details of the new bank account.
