I appreciate your initiative. I have gone through all the postings of this thread; it's quite interesting. I suggest all of you make a group (e.g., Yahoo group) where anyone from anywhere can post useful information or questions about the latest happenings in real estate, and anyone can respond to it. It's definite that out of 10, at least 8 will read all those queries.

Ok guys, I've just formed a group called Real Estate on this site. All one has to do is click on the main link called 'Groups' - Real Estate is one of the groups registered there. There were options of moderation, 'by-invitation', etc., but I have chosen to let this remain public for anyone to join in and post whatever they wish.

I know of a person who is quite knowledgeable. The last I knew, he was working with SG Corp. His name is Mr. T. K. Chakravarty. I am not sure he'd be able to handle people or training, though.

Got it. Unfortunately, I only know most of the top people in the Real Estate firms in Mumbai. Even individuals at the Deputy General Manager (DGM) level earn between 5 to 10 lakhs in our industry, so I'm not sure how appealing this opportunity would be for most of them. However, let me attempt to identify if there are individuals who are open to a career change.

Thanks for the new thread! I rarely get a chance to log in. I should do so more often and interact at greater depths; I am definitely interested. As your industry is in turmoil, none of us have any clue about what is next. Although I do feel the worst is over, I shudder to say that because suddenly some other problem is erupting, and boom, all go down. Now it's politics and posturing, so we don't know what the end result will be. Can you imagine Left and Mayawati heading the Government? We are all in trouble...

I have a big problem with the real estate developers. When the going was good they all acted big, raised money, and acted tough. Can we discuss a topic about project delays and actions of developers as all the odds are against the buyer? Everything is loaded in the favor of the developer. Is there any place we can challenge a PIL, for instance, I am talking about "A" specific project and "A" specific developer who has done what he wanted and has taken the customers for a ride. Any legal professionals who specialize only in real estate litigation or a PIL by owners is the best route.
