Which Cities in India Are Officially Recognized as Metros by the Government?

CHAMU
Hi Sir/Madam,

I would like to know which metros (cities) in India have been approved by our Central Government of India. To my knowledge, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, and Delhi are the four metropolitan cities. Are there any others apart from these? Please suggest to me - Very Urgent.

Thanks in Advance.
