How Do I Identify Training Needs and Calculate Man-Hours for 50 Employees?

rucha_172001
Dear all,

I am an HR Executive and right now I am in the midst of creating a training section in the company. To start with, I want to ask employees about their training needs, and then I will seek feedback from the HODs on their teams' training requirements. I am planning to create forms for the above.

Additionally, I would like to understand how to calculate man-hours/man-days for 50 employees.

Please help me out.

Regards,
Charu

Hi Charu,

Please find my response to your query:

Some assumed facts:
- Number of trainings executed: 10 batches
- Number of days spent in these 10 batches of training: 20 (2 days each batch)
- Participants attended: 120
- Total employees: 300
- Training mandays: 20
- Training manhours: 120 * 8 hours = 960 hours
- Trainee manhours: 960/120 = 8 man hours per employee training executed
