How Do You Handle Gate Passes and Short Employee Absences in Manufacturing?

Can anyone tell me the format of a gate pass? I am working in a manufacturing company. Also, please advise me on what the procedure is if an employee leaves the factory premises for two hours.

Can anybody suggest how to establish a policy for factory visits and project assignments in the manufacturing industry?

The normal aim of a gate pass is basically to ensure and calculate the total number of visitors that have come into the factory during the office hours and the person whom they have met. The format is as simple as name, designation, coming from, person to meet, reason for the meeting, entry time, expected out time, carrying (documents, pen-drive, etc).

I just wanted a policy and procedures to be followed for a factory visit and to assign project work to the students in the manufacturing industry.
