Just Joined as HR in a Small, Old Company Without an HR Department—Where Do I Start?

I have joined a company last week. This is a small but very old company, and we don't have any HR department. I had joined in HR, and the department is being created. I require your help. Kindly guide me on what needs to be done in the HR department.

First of all, you need to create a list of employees, including their joining date and other details that will form the employees' data. Then, check the company timings to ensure everyone is coming on time. Create an HR manual by outlining all policies such as the leave policy. To get an idea, review the company procedures. Consider aspects like recruitment, training and development, payroll, joining formalities, and exit formalities. These are essential components of any HR department in a company.
