Employee Parents Coverage In Medicalim Policy

Dear All,
I am proposing my Mgt. to cover parents of employees in Medicalim Policy at Co.Cost.
So need a help from you all to know that Is your co. covers employees parents? And are they are covered under Pre-Existing Cover clause also?
Please help as I want to understand practice prevailing in Industry.so I xcan convince my mgt.as it is costing very high.

Dear Shilpi,
We have taken a floater policy for complete families, including parents of our employees. In the said policy, insurenace company will charge some load of parents, because of which cost get high.
Yes, parents are also covered under pre-existing. In your case I would suggest you that if your management is not agreed on the same you can take some contribution from your employees.

Dear Shilpi,
In our company we have practice of insuring family - Family floater policy. Incase of unmarried people, it's there parents+employee. whereas incase of married people , we have medically insured employee,his/her spouse as well as children. The premium is paid by the company. Hope , I was of little help to you.

our company frame the policy in such a way that, for unmarried employees we will cover only individuals and for married employees we will cover spouse and child, i think u can suggest ur mngt to take a policy which will cover parents also, and u can take policy which we give facilities for outpatient and in patients. and u can ask employees to contribute for Mediclaim, for example how PF is contributed by both. i hope u understand, if not u can clarify with me, because even wwe are planning to do so
