New HR in a Startup: How Do I Create Fair Employment and Promotion Policies?

Hi dear all,

I'm going to be working as an HR professional in a newly started IT company. Can anyone help me prepare an equal employment policy and promotion policy for my company? If possible, please provide me with a model of it.

Equal Employment Policy

This policy states that our company ensures equal employment opportunity in all aspects of the employer/employee relationship, including but not limited to: hiring, upgrading, and promoting; maintaining or establishing conditions and privileges of employment; training; providing educational assistance; social and recreational programs; compensation and benefits; transferring and disciplining; determining layoffs; reductions in force; recalls; and terminations to all employees without discrimination because of race, color, age (within statutory limits), marital status, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, veteran status, or any other protected class per applicable statute.

Promotion Policy generally depends on the specifications of the companies. If you can try and make it, I'll review it for you.
