How to Encourage Employees to Adopt and Care for Office Plants? Seeking Your Ideas!

We are planning to get some plants and want those employees who are interested in adopting each plant in terms of watering and caring. Could any of you share your ideas on the same, in case you have implemented it in your office, and how receptive will the employees be to this idea.

Hello,

Generally, many employees will have an interest in gardening or taking care of plants. You can post a notice stating that those who are interested in maintaining plants in the office premises can contact HR.

Assign one plant to each employee and have them take care of that particular plant by watering it, removing unnecessary shaded leaves, and changing the soil once every 6 months. This task can be completed in 10 minutes either before leaving the office or in the morning.

Name each plant after the caretaker employee. Provide them with proper light and air for the plants. You can either purchase the plants or ask employees to bring plants from their homes.
