Hi,
Attrition Rate Calculation: The Perfect Way
It can be best explained with an example. So, I will state an example here from an industry. It has to be calculated annually. So, take the number of employees on the first of every month.
Month No. of Employees
Jan 1010
Feb 1000
Mar 1002
April 1008
May 1012
June 1015
July 1010
Aug 1005
Sep 1002
Oct 995
Nov 1000
Dec 1005
Let's say 100 people have left during a year. First, calculate the average number of employees. The average for the above data will be 1005 employees (total/12).
1005 employees 100 have left 100 (for percentage) ? (Attrition Rate)
Cross Multiply, so the Attrition Rate is 9.5%. I hope you understand this is the correct way, and if you have any doubts, please ask. Good Luck!
