Are Sodexo Coupons Tax-Exempt Up to Rs. 3000, or Is There a Rs. 1000 Monthly Cap?

Hi all,

Does anyone know if up to Rs. 3000 worth Sodexo coupons are tax-exempt or if the government has capped it at Rs. 1000 per month?

Hi all,

What are the procedures if we have to implement the Sodexo? And what are all the advantages of having Sodexo? Please let me know.
Manu Manjula
The advantage of having Sodexo is to provide tax exemption for employees. This is a concession given by the government to provide food to the employees. This can be a part of employees' CTC, and the Sodexo value can be deducted from their salary and shown the same in the payslip. Normally, the amount deducted will be Rs 1300/- per month for Managers and above, the deduction will be Rs 2200/-.
