Planning an HR Meet in Kolkata: Who's Interested in Joining and Making It Happen?

I am trying to organize an HR meet in Kolkata. Many initiatives have been taken by our seniors earlier. Now it's time for us to arrange for a meet and invite all our seniors to join us. Do you all find the thought interesting like I did?

Hello friends,

Up until now, based on the responses we have received, we can conclude that people will participate if we can organize an event. Subendu has mentioned that he stays in Kolkata from the 1st to the 5th of every month. So, why don't we plan according to his convenience? It's currently June. July 5th is a Saturday, but it's not enough time to prepare for the event. Therefore, why don't we plan it for August 2nd, which is also a Saturday? If there are issues on that day, we can consider August 3rd, which is a Sunday.

We have a month's time on our hands. Please share your suggestions too. I want everyone to participate. Please respond actively so that we don't run out of time. I hope you all understand.

Hello everybody, I have started the initial steps. I have discussed the conference room. As soon as I am ready with it, I will plan accordingly with a few other members who have taken the initiative with me. Although we are progressing a bit slowly, we will execute it. Let's look at a simple solution for a simple issue.
Wouldn't it be a good idea to start meeting first - once or twice a month - just to know each other and share thoughts? And take it from there. Just fix up a day a day/time/place and get going. It may be 4-5 members to begin with, but that's perfectly fine. The big event will be easier to plan and execute once some momentum is gained.
Let me know if you are OK spending sometime on 12th, 13th, 19th or 20th of July to kick this off, and I will be glad to host this meet.

Good idea. It could be a big event if big corporate HR heads attend the show. Seminar/lecture/interactive session/discussion on any special current HR-related topic/arrangement of sponsors, if necessary/media coverage for better future response, etc., could be done. Otherwise, it could be a type of small personal gathering of friends - which is also nice.

One small problem - who will do the leg work, as a person like me can only attend and appreciate the initiative.
