[quote=Joe0506;413715]Dear all,

I have a query from all CiteHR members and I guess its becoming serious day by day.

In most of the organisations, especially when HR Hiring takes place, then the basic criteria for that is a person should be MBA-HR from reputed institute. I understand this. Most of the organisations are particular about MBA-Full time course. I understand this also. Now, the thing is, if the person is excellent in all areas and can be considered for HR position but he/she's done MBA-Part time/DLP (Distance Learning Programe), then the person is rejected immediately. WHY??? Because of not meeting the criteria??? If this is the criteria for selection then why such kind of courses are approved?????

I want to understand that if the person is excellent then why he/she's not given an opportunity... According to me this is baseless.

Please give your opinion on this.

Hi!

I can personally understand this situation quite well.
While this could be considered as a valid attitude in hiring freshers in the HR field but once a person has been into the HR field in a good Company for about 2 years, then ideally this should not hinder his further progress.

I suggest one shouldn't be disheartened and continue to add to one's arsenel further HR courses via DLP, side by side working in some Company.
They can do no harm at the least.

Dear all,
so far i have come to know that these dlp programe will be beneficial for those who are already engaged in full time job. Any vacancy come in a way like experience + requisite then it is being considered at par by the employer. But again i may add if it is true then why any un employed or part time employee is allowed to enroll.

Hi,
All companies do not have preference for Full time MBA's .Some companies have.
As per my experience work experience is always counted first and foremost for HR
job .

Agree the same.....

But the thing is that.....but there difference in learning manner
01)most of the time in full time mode they execute proper validation(government norms) of the cource
02) They conduct proper Industrial visits for students which essential for academic purpose
03) Proper presentations(ppt) they conduct
04) Proper method of examinations(NO FAVORS only gov norms apply like proper examination center, proper examination seat number, proper online results, proper supervision faculty etc.....)
05) Regular attendance with pre decided attendance percentage

above this were not maintained in DLP

Right now NEW QUESTION ARISE

IF ANY STUDENT KNOW ABOVE MENTIONED FIVE BASIC RULES THEN WHY HE/SHE ENROLL SUCH DLP COURSE INSTEAD OF GOING TO FULL TIME COURSE?

now if we talk about financial problems or time limits

so i suggest you please talk to such education counselor or to your friends or to your family members about this problem. Because to ask for help it doesn't means that you are small

but remember that
THERE IS NO SHORTCUT IN EDUCATION

Dear All,
I agree with all of you. I have posted same article on Linkedin . I am sharing that article .
I have understood it, its serious concern.
These courses should not be introduced in Institutes and Universities.
There is very less scope for DLP courses in HRM.
Thanks
