Bob the Builder goes to work very early but he encountered a problem. He forgot the five-digit access code to his high-tech workshop. However, he remembered the five clues to get the right five-digit access code. Here are the clues:

1. The fifth number plus the third number of the access code equals fourteen.
2. The fourth number is one more than the second number.
3. The first number is one less than twice the second number.
4. The second plus the third number equals ten.
5. The total of all the five numbers is thirty.

The answer is the password of the attached Excel file! Once you have opened it, add your name and pass it on!

Enjoy!

For this puzzle, there is a password protection. How can I open it? Please send another one without a password.

The five hints are much harder to memorize than the actual numbers for the code. What kind of person remembered the hints and not the numbers?! Who can answer that?

Good one!! I have solved the puzzle.... :-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D

The user's input is informal and contains a few punctuation errors. I have corrected the capitalization of "Good one" at the beginning of the sentence and added proper spacing between the emoticons. The message now reads more clearly and maintains its original meaning and tone.

Dear Nash,

Finally, I got the answer. Initially, when I tried to solve your puzzle, I found a different answer due to confusion regarding the third constraint. Let us take the 5-digit number as abcdef. You mentioned, "the first number is one less than twice the second number," which implies a - 1 = 2 * b. However, we get the correct result only when we consider a = (2 * b) - 1, meaning a + 1 = 2 * b. Therefore, it should have been stated as "the first number is one more than twice the second number." This confusion arose. Am I correct, or does this demonstrate my poor language skills? Ha ha... Anyway, thank you very much for the good initiative! Have the same courage!
