I am stuck in a problem and being a senior member i know you will be able to help me get out of this. One of our best employee has resigned today in the morning. He is handling etrire System Administration and has been an exceptional performer. We also have provided him the best opportunities for his growth and development and also the salary offered to him is exactly what he deserves (this is just we think.. i don't know whether he feels the same or not, though he seems happy working here). Infact he just has been appraised and he has been given 15% salary hike. He has been treated really well here and have been provided other benefits which other employees do not enjoy like flexi timings and authority to take decisions.
Now i am disturbed to see his resignation and really wants him to retain in our organization. I want the suggestions from all of you how to proceed. Here i would also like you to know that he did not used to follow the HR policies properly in the past and i had a discussion with him regarding this which he didn't take positively and we are not on very good talking terms since then which makes it very difficult that he will reveal his true reason of resigning to me if i have a personal discussion with him. Otherwise he is a nice guy.
Can you please suggest how should i proceed and deal with this situation. He is one of the most favourite employee of our CEO which has put an extra pressure on me. Please reply asap.
