You have to look into various statutory enactments, under which every company has to register or follow the mandatory requirements as stipulated.
HR & Admin: Shall register under the following enactments - EPF, Gratuity, ESI, Contract Labour, Shops & Establishment, Employees Standing Order, Environmental Laws, Factories Act, etc.
Finance: PAN, Service Tax, Professional Tax, VAT (registration and filing of annual returns), Loans from banks, BGs, LCs, Commercial and other finance related documents to be scrutinized.
Corporate: Incorporation certificate, memorandum of articles and association, Minutes of meeting, Share certificate, etc.
Operation: Regulatory Compliance.
Legal: Contracts/Agreements, Litigations, Statutory & Regulatory Compliance, etc.
In fact, as the legal person of the company, you have to check the activities of the department and coordinate them by helping in the above-mentioned compliances.
