Confused About the New Professional Tax Ceiling in Andhra Pradesh? Can Anyone Share Official Info?

Hi! I read that the professional tax ceiling for AP has been increased to 5000/-, but I am not able to find any circular or government notification regarding the same. I request you all to please help me get the same.

Please help me in this regard. We have a query regarding Professional Tax of employees in Himachal Sorang (Himachal Pradesh).

1. Professional Tax is not applicable for the state of Himachal (as confirmed by our colleagues in Shimla).
2. Do we need to deduct professional tax from employees in Hyderabad (working in the same company, only 8 members)?
3. If yes, where should we register and pay it? Our company is registered in Shimla.

You need to register your branch in Hyd under professional tax and start remitting the tax monthly in accordance with the salaries paid to the employees. Employer PT is payable annually.

There is no exemption regarding the number of persons. You need to get your registration done at the CTO.
