Navigating Job Offers: How to Handle Requests for Bank Statements and Salary Slips?

Hi,

My friend worked in a software organization for 2 years and left that job due to some personal reasons. For the last 10 months, he has been idle, not taking on any job but has done some courses. Recently, he made attempts to secure a job while still being employed in the old company, and he got selected in a software company. The issue now is that they are requesting his last one year's bank statements and salary slips. He possesses excellent technical skills, and there is no doubt about that. They have sent an offer letter and are asking for the submission of bank statements and salary slips. Can anyone provide suggestions? Is it possible to manage the HR people? If fake statements are submitted, could there be any problems? Please suggest what he should do in this situation.

Thank you,
Vivek

Dear friend,

No one consults whether he can cheat. He cheats! Suppose I give advice to you that you can produce a fake certificate, and if you are caught, who will be in trouble? You or me? Manage HR people? How? Such questions in open forums will not really help you or your friend. I guess you are talking about yourself and not for your friend. Consult some known people. Avoid fake certificates as they will attract criminal action. Try to be as straightforward as possible.
