Anjali Agrawal
Hey all!

I am working on a project in payroll and compensation management. Could you please help me with what areas to focus on and what to include in my report?

You can include compensation for PF, ESIC, Gratuity, any insurance policy provided by the company, extra working hours, and travel expenses.

Dear Anjali,

"Payroll and compensation" refers to the administration of employees' salaries, wages, bonuses, net pay, and deductions.

It consists of employee ID, employee name, date of joining, daily attendance record, basic salary, allowances, overtime pay, bonus, commissions, incentives, pay for holidays, vacations, sickness, value of meals, and lodging, etc. There are some deductions such as PF, taxes, loans, installments, or advances taken by employees.

"Payroll and compensation" is administered on a monthly basis and an annual basis.

Payroll on a monthly basis.

While administering the monthly payroll, basic salary, HRA, conveyance, and other special allowances such as mobile, etc., are considered. There are some deductions like PF, LOANS/ADVANCES.

Payroll on an Annual Basis.

Annual payroll consists of leave travel allowances, incentives, annual bonuses, and reimbursements.

So you can prepare your project on BREAKUP OF EMPLOYEES AT VARIOUS LEVELS. For example, you can prepare ONE BREAKUP FOR JUNIOR LEVEL, 2-3 DIFFERENT BREAKUPS FOR MIDDLE LEVEL, AND SENIOR LEVELS.

Hi Katyana,

Regarding the project on compensation, I have conducted a few studies in which I included the topic overview, different benefit schemes, bonuses, and incentives. Now, I have to proceed with my research work on it. Please guide me on this.

With regards,
Priyanka
