Training Mandays Calculation: How Do You Figure It Out?

Hi Anusha,

Can anyone suggest how to calculate mandays of training?

Hello Anusha,

Are you talking about person-days of development time to design and develop a training program? Or are you talking about participant days spent in training? If it is the latter, simply multiply the number of days of training by the number of training participants. For example, if the training is for half a day and there are 50 participants:

Person-Days = 0.5 x 50 = 25 person-days

I hope this helps.

I checked out your website and found some good information. Despite the information I found on your website, I have a question about e-learning man-days. We are planning to implement an e-learning platform in our company, but I am unsure about the specific weight I should give to the online learning training sessions.

Calculating E-learning Man-days

We usually engage in one-day training events (a workday equals 8 hours). I understand that e-learning sessions will not last 8 hours, so how do I calculate the man-days for that specific training? Also, since the content of the e-learning will be available for an unlimited time, I plan to use the man-days only once for that specific training.

I would be very grateful if you could provide me with any additional material on e-learning.

Thank you in advance!

Calculate from your muster roll or wage register. You might have a total present days column in these registers.
