Are Distance Education Courses Recognised

Hi
I am working as an Executive- HR and have done my MA in Industrial Psychology. My organisation needs me to have an additional qualification in HR. Is Distance Education coursed recognised.
Can anyone please help me in this? Which course should I do?

if you are practically working as HR and doing some course in HR it will definetly be recognized as you will be having a blen of both Theory and Practical.
SInce you are in Mumbai, Welingkar Institute MAtunga have special part time courses on HRM on sundays and another on Sat-Sun, addmissions open

Is this your first meet for Mumbai CHR......! would like to know the response. We had a meet for Guj HR on 25th May 2008 we had 25 members in meet and in data base we have 110 + members....

With respect to the correspondence course.I agree with Peerji and also would like to say that if u intend to attend the classes then u have to choose a institute close to your place of work or stay as even xaviers offers Diploma courses alogn with wellingkars.
Infact even correspondence courses have meetings on weekends as if u attend these clases you have better interaction.

You were enquring abt the HR meet i guess it should be in another column where it is mentioned Cite hr Mumbia meet.
Just for your information.There were two meetings held where i have organsied one.
This is the second one I would be organising with 56 members on 7th June.
I haev already created yahoo group and am trying to get more mumbai cite hr database soon.
