Hi,
If you have doubt on the authenticity of the pay slip.....It is advisable to ask the candidate to provide his bank statement...Axis bank,
Ask him which branch the salary is created.....check with the bank.....

Dear
i agree with madhu because in addition to her view basic salary rate is to low normaaly its up around 60% - 70% .
u should ask to bank & accounts dept. of employeeee company
we dont ask to each n every thing about each indiviual but where we have some doubts so we must clear that doubt.

Hi Everybody
It is very difficult to say whether it is a fake slip or not. If you need confirmation Please ask the candidate to produce a salary certificate along with the Annual benefits, duly signed by the authorized signatory.
Or you can ask him to produce his latest FORM 16
Asking a persons his Bank statement will not look nice as No one would like to share his financial Bank statement with any one.

Hai,

Please don't ask for Bank Statement, because an employer has no statutory right to ask one's bank statement and if at all you get his bank account No, you cannot get the details from the Bank because the bank is supposed to keep secrecy of the customers' account. A banker is bound by Bankers' Books Evidence Act also. So, it is just up to the employer to accept the details furnished by a candidate or reject it. You can ask clarifications like ' the percentage of HRA to Basic, what the other allowances mean, why the TDS is so' and so on. If you are not satisfied with the reply, put a note to the higher authority/ MD so that your side would be safe. It is up to them to decide whether to accept his previuos pay or not. And if you yourselves are the one to take decision, be positive and straight to say : " I feel that the pay shown in the slip seems to be inflated and, therefore, I can not accept it as it is".

Since it is an electronic statement, no need of signature and/or company seal.

Why dont you ask the candidate for his appointment letter and appraisal letter. You can then do the verification from his company. I hope that it will help. You cant judge is the salary slip is fake or original by just looking at it coz evry company has different criteia for salary break up.

Asking appointment order issued by a previous employer is meaningless, because, mere an appointment order doesnot say whether he had joined or not. A candidate can get an appoitment letter, but he need not join and serve the establishment.
Similarly, an appraisal letter is the out come of appraisal formalities which takes place confidentially and also is issued in continuation to the initial order. If it is availabe, then it is good, but as an employer you are not supposed to have it for reference from a candidate.

Hi Friends !
I am sharing my observations and views:
1 The PF no. MH/121033/00203 wherein '121033' is code allotted to the principal employer. I havent seen 6 ditig code allotted to employer. (Please correct me if I am wrong)
2 Medical Reimbursement: 1250. Usually salaryslip has allowances included. Reimbursements are not part of Salary. They can be part of CTC but are paid through vouchers supported by bills. If it were Medical Allowance, it would have been ok.
3 The last line 'This is Computer generated statement requires no signature' does not look gramatically correct. Such a line can not be part of a good company's salary slip.
Your views on above points requested please.
