Subject - Try To Solve This - Bottles problem
Since bottles are unmarked, filling exact half is not possible and so $_Aditi_$' s proposal may not work.
My proposal is
1) Fill any one bottle with water completely and transfer this water to another bottle and identify which one is of higher volume. Now mark them as 5 and 3. Make both the bottle empty.
2) Fill 5 ltr. bottle with water and transfer it to 3 ltr. bottle.
2 ltr. water will remain in 5 ltr. bottle.
3) Make 3 ltr. bottle empty.
4) Transfer 2 ltr. water from 5 ltr. bottle to 3 ltr. bottle.
5) Fill 5 ltr. bottle completely with water again and transfer it as much as possible to 3 ltr bottle. Actually you can transfer only 1 ltr.
6) Now you have 4 ltr. water in 5 ltr bottle.
Thanks and Regards

Fill 3 ltr bottle fully and pour into 5 ltr bottle
Again fill 3 ltr bottle fully and pour into 5 ltr bottle(only you can fill 2 ltr)
Balance 1 ltr will be in 3 ltr bottle
Now empy 5 ltr bottle
Pour 1 ltr of water from 3 ltr bottle to 5 ltr bottle
Again Fill 3 ltr bottle fully and pour into 5 ltr bottle which already has 1 ltr water
Now 5 ltr bottle will be having 4 ltr of water
This is the solution for your problem.

i don thnk aditi's soln.works.(Hw to bottle is exactly half whn it's not marked)
1)Fill 5 ltrs bottle 2) fill 3 ltrs bottle frm 5 ltr bottle. That leaves 5 ltrs botte wt 2 ltrs water.3) empty 3 ltr bottle & fill it wt 2 ltrs (wch is there in 5 ltr bottle.)
4)Nw 5 ltr bottle is empty.fill it & from this fill 3 ltr bottle.Only one ltr water will go to 3 ltr bottle.Nw 5 Ltr bottle has 4 ltrs...ok
