red+blue----
but black + white -- is always black

white is made of mixture of 7 color n black absorbs all color..so finally there is no color transmitted on T V....
so black&white is not Color T v

Hi Malini,
Black & white Tv is so called as they can only project two colours and its cobinations (such as Ash and Graya) and thus named. A colour Tv is called coloured as it can project all combinations of all colours visible to our eye. Also it is no where mentioned that a black & white Tv is Non colour Tv.

white represents all in one
So, single colour alone can not compete with multi colours.

Technically, black is a color. It is all the colors mixed together however white is not a color because it is the absence of color. Therefore since white is not a color black and white is not a color.
